The wave is here...

For years we have been told that young people aren't interested in God, faith or church, and yet in the last 5 years, the number of young people attending church has doubled.
We've been told that young people don't believe or even care about God. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Catching the wave combines multiple sources of research and anecdotal evidence with practical guidance on how your church can connect with young people.

Young people are spiritually open but the church in many places isn't ready so "Starting within" is a deep dive into what we need to do to effectively respond.
"Going deep" not only raises the big 3 issues facing young people but asks the question we don't want to answer, "Are we willing to let our theology get in the way of people discovering Jesus?"
"Looking Wide" provides the good, bad, ugly and the surprising when it comes to the 3 big factors gripping young people today, what you think you know and what evidence is pointing towards may not align.
Then its all about "Reaching out" it is the last section because until our house is in order, we understand the issues and have considered the holds on young people we aren't ready to engage. However once we are ready these 3 chapters could transform your approach.

This book isn't about fixing youth ministry but catching what God is already doing, but to do that, we need to be ready.
What you will find throughout the book is:
